Why Quality Assurance Important ?
The cost of a defect rises the later it is found. A bug caught by a test on a pull request costs minutes; the same bug found by a customer costs a support conversation, a hotfix and some trust. Testing earns its place by moving that discovery earlier. It also makes change safe — a suite the team believes in is what lets them refactor or upgrade a dependency without a week of manual re-checking.
We write end-to-end tests in Playwright or Cypress, mobile tests in Appium, and unit and API tests with Jest and Supertest, then wire them into CI so they run on every change rather than only before a release. Load and performance work uses k6 or JMeter, and cross-browser and cross-device checks run on BrowserStack. Where a suite already exists but is distrusted — usually because it is slow and intermittently red — the first job is making it reliable, because a test nobody believes is worse than no test at all.
